Admissions
Interested young adults apply to the Job Corps program through an admissions counselor. Eligible youth are assigned to a specific Job Corps center, usually one that is located nearest the youth's home and one that offers career training of interest to the youth.
While at the center, students take part in academic, career and life skills training, all of which promote employability skills. After students graduate, Job Corps provides placement assistance and follow-up services for up to one year.
Job Corps partners with many local and national employers to provide work-based learning sites and permanent employment. Nationally, 90% of all Job Corps graduates are placed in jobs, enlist in the military, or enroll in further education.
